SVDG at JPMorgan Chase’s 2025 VetVC

September 18-19 @ JPMC HQ in New York City, NY

SVDG Executive Director Mike Keating’s fireside chat with Adm. (Ret.) Mike Gilday, former Chief of Naval Operations, discussing recent developments in defense innovation and the 2025 NatSec100

A conversation with Jason Hundley (X-Bow), Tyler Sweatt (Second Front) and Matt Bigge (Crosslink Capital), moderated by SVDG COO Merritt Ogle on veteran contributions to Venture Capital

SVDG was thrilled to help facilitate JPMorgan's annual VetVC Summit. As defense tech moves into its next natural phase of evolution, SVDG celebrates JPMorgan's leadership in helping push for defense innovation adoption.

At an event marked by frank and light hearted conversation about innovation in defense and dual-use, SVDG got to talk to the veterans leading the push for greater cohesion between innovators and end-users. As the 2025 NatSec100 highlighted, we are at an inflection point where innovation for its own sake is no longer sufficient. Now, the US and our allies need to make good on the progress made in several technology verticals to bring these technologies to the hands of the customer and operationalize it. Veterans can provide the experience and know-how to be the connective tissue between private industry/capital and the warfighter.
