Simone Montandon

Associate

Simone started at SVDG as an Intern in 2024 and is now an Associate contributing to operations, programming, and select projects and publications.

Previously a student at Georgetown University, Simone holds a Master in Security Studies and rgaduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service.

Simone was, most recently, a research assistant and teaching assistant in the Center for Security Studies, focusing on NATO interoperability in the 21st century and on the effect of space technologies on national strategy.

Simone has interned before at the International Rescue Committee and Step Venture. He is from Milan, Italy, but now lives in Austin, TX with his wife Lucy. He is most passionate about space policy, technology, and security and the role of technological innovation on US and Allied strategies.
