2026 SVDG Oceans Blue Tech Investor Tour

Silicon Valley Defense Group brought together investors, government leaders, and maritime technology companies in Rhode Island for the SVDG Oceans Blue Tech Investor Tour, a two-day program designed to connect emerging maritime capabilities with the capital and customers needed to scale.

The tour combined company site visits, on-water demonstrations, tabletop showcases, and small-group conversations across Rhode Island’s growing ocean technology ecosystem. Participating companies demonstrated technologies spanning maritime autonomy, sensing, propulsion, undersea systems, and other capabilities relevant to both commercial and national security missions.

Investors were able to see technologies operating in real-world environments rather than only through presentations. On-water demonstrations included autonomous and unmanned systems, sensing technologies, and next-generation maritime platforms, while company visits and tabletop sessions gave participants additional opportunities to engage directly with founders and technical teams.

The investor group represented a broad cross-section of the capital ecosystem, including mutual funds, hedge funds, banks, venture capital firms, corporate venture investors, and angel investors. The tour also brought together representatives from the Department of the Navy, defense innovation organizations, and Rhode Island’s ocean technology community.

By bringing these groups together, the Blue Tech Investor Tour aimed to strengthen the connections between technological innovation, private capital, and government demand — helping promising maritime technologies move more quickly from demonstration to deployment and scale.

For SVDG, the tour reflects a broader effort to create opportunities for investors to engage directly with emerging national security technologies and the founders building them.
